Can you introduce yourself, your company, and how you first heard about us?

My name is Ida. I am a barista and the general manager of Tøllefsenhjørnet, a coffee and wine bar in the centre of Tromsø. I first heard about Tim Wendelboe when I was working at Kaffebønna in the summer of 2007. I called him to ask if he needed staff for the coffee bar he was about to open, but he had already hired his first team.

I became a regular customer, and eventually gathered the courage to ask again in 2010. I was over the moon the day I got the job – and I cried my eyes out the day I left. But I had to return home to Tromsø, where my heart truly belongs.

How long have you been using our coffee, and what do you enjoy most about working with us?

From day one, of course. We opened in August 2022, and I have sworn by coffee from Tim Wendelboe ever since. The quality is consistently excellent. Naturally, there are some coffees I prefer over others, that is only to be expected, but they are all so clean and well-balanced.

There is never any unpleasant flavour from the processing, which is something we really appreciate. So much can go wrong along the way, but we know that with this coffee, we are always in safe hands. And the fact that the customer service is also top-class is a very welcome bonus.

Do you have a favourite coffee from us?

Kenyan coffee is always the highlight of the summer, but I still cannot get over the Caballero Batian from Honduras that we had last year. There was something truly special about it. I have never tasted a cup so well-balanced.

Our head of coffee, Tobias M. Bugge, ensures that we find the optimal grind setting for each individual coffee. And with the water quality here in Tromsø being absolutely world-class, there are days when everything comes together – and on those days, I genuinely believe you will not find a better cup of coffee.
